Built for agentic AI
AI agents and AdCP
AI agents can buy media on Diretsa through AdCP. People book through the same sales agent. The same rules apply to both.
How it fits together
1. Who buys
A person in the console, your own AdCP buying agent, or Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
2. Diretsa sales agent
Bookings go through one AdCP sales agent, with signed-in access and the same booking rules.
3. Where it runs
Website and newsletter ads run on the ad server. Screens use the Diretsa player. Publisher-run media use publisher orders.
Three ways AdCP is used
Diretsa is a seller
AdCP (Ad Context Protocol) is an open standard for AI agents that buy media. Diretsa's sales agent is built on the official AdCP SDK and speaks AdCP over MCP with signed-in access.
The console uses AdCP
When you book in the console, it books through the same sales agent in AdCP. People and agents follow the same rules.
Bring your buying agent
Create an AdCP key in the console. It shows the address your buying agent should connect to.
What a buying agent can do
| Task | AdCP method |
|---|---|
| Find placements | get_products |
| Book placements | create_media_buy |
| Change, pause or cancel bookings | update_media_buy |
| Send artwork | sync_creatives |
| Check booking status | get_media_buys |
| Read impressions, clicks and spend | get_media_buy_delivery |
The same safeguards
- Prepaid balance and trust-based limits apply to agents just as they do to people. Diretsa reviews a new advertiser's first bookings.
- Artwork is checked before it runs, including artwork sent by outside buying agents. A person checks a new advertiser's artwork.
- Ads link only to the verified site or approved pages. Diretsa re-checks live links daily.
- Every placement shows its proof level. Publisher ad rules apply to every booking.
- Sandbox test accounts can book, but their ads are never served and they are never billed.
Connect a buying agent
- Sign in to Diretsa and open AI agents in the console.
- Create an AdCP key for your advertiser organisation.
- Give your buying agent the key and the connection address shown in the console. Keep the key private.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot
- A diretsa.com account with confirmed email, belonging to an advertiser or publisher organisation. The connector address is **https://api.diretsa.com/mcp**. You'll need: **Claude:** any plan. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first. **ChatGPT:** a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu), using ChatGPT on the web. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin may need to allow developer mode first. **Copilot:** Microsoft Copilot Studio, to add Diretsa as a tool to an agent.
- **Claude:** 1. In Claude, go to **Customize → Connectors**. 2. Click **+ Add**, then **Add custom connector**. 3. Name it **Diretsa** and enter **https://api.diretsa.com/mcp** as the server URL. Click **Continue**. 4. Keep the detected sign-in settings (OAuth, **Use Claude's published identity**) and click **Add**. 5. When the Diretsa page opens, sign in with your Diretsa account, check what Claude asks to do (see "What permissions should I give?") and click **Allow**. 6. In a chat, click **+** → **Connectors** and turn **Diretsa** on. On Team or Enterprise: an owner adds it under **Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web**, using the same address. Each member then clicks **Connect** next to Diretsa under **Customize → Connectors** and signs in with their own Diretsa account.
- **ChatGPT:** 1. On chatgpt.com, open your profile menu (bottom left) → **Settings** → **Apps** (on some accounts called **Apps & Connectors**). 2. Open **Advanced settings** and turn on **Developer mode**. 3. Click **Create app**. Name it **Diretsa**, enter **https://api.diretsa.com/mcp** as the MCP server URL, leave authentication as **OAuth**, and tick the box to confirm you trust it. 4. Sign in to Diretsa in the window that opens, check the permissions and click **Allow**. Then click **Create**. 5. In a new chat, click **+** → **More** (or **Developer mode**) and choose **Diretsa**. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each action that changes something. Agent mode and deep research don't use custom apps, so use a normal chat.
- **Copilot:** 1. In Copilot Studio, open your agent's **Tools** page. 2. Select **Add a tool** → **New tool** → **Model Context Protocol**. 3. Enter **Diretsa** as the server name. As the description, enter "Diretsa media network: campaigns, placements, bookings and reports in South Africa". Enter **https://api.diretsa.com/mcp** as the server URL. 4. Choose **OAuth 2.0** → **Dynamic discovery**, then **Create** and **Next**. 5. Select **Create a new connection**, sign in to Diretsa, check the permissions and click **Allow**. Then select **Add to agent**. If your organisation has Power Platform data policies, an admin may need to allow the connection.
- **Permissions:** The Diretsa page lists what the AI app asks for, then you click **Allow** or **Cancel**. It can ask for one or more of: **Read**: your organisations, campaigns, reports, balances, sites and earnings. **Change placements** (publishers): add and prove sites, change placements and prices, choose which ads you accept, accept or decline orders and report what ran. **Book campaigns** (advertisers): create and change campaigns, add artwork, make plans, and book, only after you confirm each booking in the chat. Give only what you need. If the app asks for more, click **Cancel**. You can disconnect and connect again later.
- Menu names in Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot change from time to time. If yours look different, look for the custom connector or MCP option. Last checked 30 October 2026.
Spending needs your clear yes in the chat, with a one-time code, up to R10,000 per booking. Top-ups, payments and bank details stay on diretsa.com.

Artwork checks
An AI artwork check looks for phone numbers, QR codes, other brands' logos and prize or claim scams. A person checks a new advertiser's artwork.
Help with approved answers
The help assistant on the site learns only from answers a Diretsa admin approves.
Next steps backed by delivery
Dashboard recommendations are statistical estimates from delivery data. Diretsa compares placements on the same days, artwork wear-out against the rest of the same ad spot, and sizes within sites. A change is suggested only when Diretsa is at least 90% sure it helps; otherwise it is labelled as general advice. Effects are measured over time, not guaranteed.
